What Does the LPA2 Twin Laser Particle Analyzer Do?

CAN-AK’s LPA2 Twin Laser Particle Counter is one of the primary methods by which we prove our work. This particle counter takes a sample of the oil being filtered and dehydrated, analyzes, and provides an ISO particle count based on the number of 4 µm, 6 µm, and 14 µm particles present in the fluid.

How Does the LPA2 Twin Laser Particle Analyzer Work?

The LPA2 uses two separate lasers to count the particles present in the oil. One laser is designed to count particles between 4 µm and 6 µm while the second laser is designed to count particles between 6 µm and 68 µm. By LPA3knowing the initial intensity of each laser’s light, a photodiode placed on the other side of the sample can calculate what portion of the laser’s radiation is passing through the oil sample. Using a complex algorithm, the particle counter can then calculate the portion of the laser’s radiation being blocked by particles in the oil and calculate the number of particles of each size using this data. All of this can be done while our systems are purifying your oil with absolutely zero down time. By providing real-time, on-site analysis of your oil, CAN-AK can ensure maximum quality of your lubricating fluid.
