The harmful effects of water and particulate contamination in hydraulic, lubrication & dielectric oils have been well documented.
CAN-AK has developed a specialized fluid purification process which is guaranteed to render oil lines to -40°C to -80°C dew points as part of the multi-step vacuum distillation, dehydration and oil purification process. CAN-AK utilizes a low vacuum fluid purification process to vaporize the water in lubrication and hydraulic systems. This includes CAN-AK’s micro filtration oil purification process.
The CAN-AK process will correct any off specification nature of the fluid as measured by ISO 4406-99 particle counts which will be rendered to below the OEM and Customer specifications of 16/14/11 or better. Oil cleanliness fluid purification will be verified in real time using CAN-AK’s on-site dual laser particle counter, RH meter, and water analyzer.
The process includes:
- Removing free, emulsified and dissolved water
- Removing entrained air and dissolved gases
- Achieve ISO Cleanliness Codes as low as ISO 14/12/10 or better
- Process flow rates from 3 to 100 GPM
- No other utilities other than electricity are required (no costly water consumption)
By maintaining clean and dry oil, the life of critical wear components in rotating and hydraulic equipment can be significantly extended, minimizing equipment downtime, optimizing its efficiency, and maximizing profitability.
CAN-AK’s Fluid Purification Units are recommended for use in the following applications:
- Turbine Lube Oils
- Paper Machine Lube Oils
- Gearbox Oils
- Transformer Oils
- Silicone Oils
- Refrigerant Oils
- Compressor Oils
- Phosphate Ester Fluid
- PAO Fluids
- Polyether Polyol
- Poly Alkylene Glycol
CAN-AK will address all solid particulate contamination, moisture, and dissolved gases in lubricants. These contaminates are ingressed during maintenance events, catastrophic failure or during production. This service is best executed while the system is in production and online with full flow circulation of the lubricant.
